Lent Challenge: Day 1

So it’s the first day of lent, and I’m currently feeling pretty motivated. Although that always happens when I decide to do something healthy, and then the feeling disappears a few hours later. I’ll just have to make sure it doesn’t :’)

So, having gone vegan just over a week ago, that’s no longer a lent challenge idea for me, as I have no intention of stopping. I’ve decided instead to give up sugar. (Just because my mum nearly had a heart attack when she saw that on facebook, I have to clarify: I can have fruit sugar, but nothing processed.)

I’m pretty sure I have a serious reliance on sugar, so this is going to be an interesting experiment. I’ve managed to mostly clear out the stuff I can’t have from my cupboard, which will help (although I still have jam in my fridge, and hot cross buns in my freezer…) =P But yeah, 46 days without sugar. And this is day 1. Oh god :’)

I shall console myself by buying a nice vegan easter egg for easter sunday, and marveling at all the weight I am (hopefully) going to lose. Wish me luck…
